Impatient Overtaking

There was a lot of traffic on the road, and all the traffic behind me could not pass because of the double lines.
He escorted me almost into Childers...and it was here that when I stopped to have my car battery checked, he stopped too, and waited quite a while for his escorted vehicle to catch up.

I do not mind vehicles overtaking me if they think I am going too slow.........but really was this necessary??
